About Us

In this world of instantaneous entertainment, deliveries, fast dining, and lifestyle it has become increasingly important to slow down and enjoy things that take time. For the past 95 years our family has perfected these renowned recipes of our slow-churned super premium ice cream that causes you to pause and take pleasure in the moment and share it with a friend.

Our History

1929

Founded by Charles Rich Snelgrove

In this troubling economic time, Charles Rich Snelgrove wanted to provide a place for families to gather together. He offered ice cream cones for just a nickel each, inviting families to create cherished memories together. Amidst the hardships of the Great Depression looming on the horizon, his mission was simple yet profound: to provide a haven where joy could flourish despite the uncertainties of the era. Children's laughter echoed as they eagerly lined up, their eyes lighting up at the sight of his frosty delights. Parents, burdened by worries of tomorrow, found solace in these simple moments of togetherness. Each scoop served not just as a sweet indulgence but as a catalyst for precious family bonds, reminding everyone of the invaluable treasure of time spent in each other's company.
